About Cindy Zane, PhD

Cindy Zane, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who works with couples, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. She began her professional career as a civil litigation attorney and later spent many years as a trial attorney with the Office of the Public Defender. Motivated by a desire to help people beyond their legal challenges, Cindy transitioned into psychology, where she now supports clients in overcoming life’s difficulties by strengthening their relationships.

Cindy is a Certified Trainer, Supervisor, and Therapist in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She provides training and supervision to clinicians internationally, including in Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Brazil, Australia, and throughout North America and Hawaiʻi. In addition to her clinical and training work, Cindy offers intensive couples therapy and consultation to organizations such as the Hawaiʻi Judicial Conference and the Western States Bar Associations Conference. Her organizational work focuses on fostering cultures of secure connection to enhance health, well-being, and professional productivity.

At the heart of Cindy’s work is a simple truth: life is less frightening—and far more meaningful—when we have close, secure relationships to share it with.
